Are You A
Garden Maintenance Specialist
Looking For Meaningful, Sustainable Work?

At Garden Harvest Edible Landscapes, we design and build gardens that do more than look good — they feed people, support pollinators, restore soil, and reconnect communities to nature.

Let’s dig deeper.

Ask yourself these 7 questions:

  1. Do you want to work for a business that genuinely cares about the environment, not just profits?

  2. Are you passionate about sustainability, growing food, and working with nature — not against it?

  3. Are you tired of cookie-cutter landscaping jobs that lack purpose or soul?

  4. Do you want to help create gardens that feed people, restore soil, and support pollinators?

  5. Are you looking for a workplace where your values are shared, your voice is heard, and your work actually matters?

  6. Do you take pride in high-quality, honest work — and wish others around you did too?

  7. Are you ready to be part of a small team doing good things in the world through plants, soil, and thoughtful design?

If you answered “yes,” let’s talk. You might be exactly who we’re looking for.

Why Join Garden Harvest?

We're not your average landscaping company.

We’re all about purposeful, sustainable work — using organic methods, permaculture principles, and thoughtful design to create edible landscapes that are both beautiful and productive.

If you’re passionate about working with the earth, building gardens that matter, and being part of a small growing team that truly values sustainability, we’d love to hear from you.

We’ve been in this business for 4 years and it’s time for us to begin expanding and adding team members to our crew. Up until now we’ve worked with sub contractors and we are now looking for enthusiastic people to grow our own team. We are starting with you as our first casual team member. Let’s get started!

We're hiring our first in-house casual team member.

We Are Hiring For

We’re looking for one versatile team member who can take on a mix of the following roles:

  • Edible Garden Specialist

  • Landscaper (softscapes, some hardscapes, raised beds, planting, turf)

  • Garden Labourer / Assistant

This is a hands-on role perfect for someone who’s passionate about sustainable landscaping and enjoys variety in their day-to-day work.

Who We’re Looking For

  • Experience in landscaping, gardening, or horticulture

  • Practical knowledge of edible gardening — veggie beds, fruit trees, herbs, composting, and seasonal planting

  • Physically capable of labour-intensive tasks: wheelbarrowing, digging, lifting, and working outdoors in all weather

  • Reliable, efficient, and proud of your work

  • Team-oriented, respectful, and easy to get along with

  • Motivated by sustainability and purpose, not just a paycheck

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Assist with the installation and maintenance of edible gardens, food forests, and native landscapes.

  • Build raised beds, prepare soil, plant, mulch, prune, and lay turf.

  • Install edging & stepping stones, construct raised garden beds, prepare soil, plant, mulch, prune, and turf.

  • Perform manual labour: wheelbarrowing, moving soil, site cleanup.

  • Help bring our designs to life in both private and community spaces.

  • Follow site safety procedures and collaborate with team members.

Fair, reliable pay — your time and skills are valued
